Meet The Team

Boyce started his independent career at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Iowa State University in August 2022. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the University of California, Berkeley. He received all his degrees from MSE at Iowa State University. His research interest lies in the synthesis, self-assembly and application of soft materials at the nanoscale. His team seeks to apply polymers with controlled architectures for bio-inspired hierarchical nanostructures, surface engineering, nanolithography and advanced nanocomposites. The team consists of a diverse and highly motivated group of young scientists that strives in a collaborative environment.
